Tim Morgan – Pastor
Area of Ministry
In June of 2017, I was called to serve at Kushla-Bethany as the student pastor. In April of 2017, the congregation called me to serve as the interim-pastor. Every week I’m excited about the opportunity to preach the Word of God and equip the saints for the work of ministry!
I gave my life to the Lord at the young age of six, and it was shortly thereafter that the Lord gave me a hope and a purpose. I knew that he loved me and that there was nothing greater in the world than a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I received my B.A. from William Carey University (2009), and my Master of Divinity (Biblical Languages Emphasis) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018.
I’ve been married to Kendall since 2010.
I’ve served as the pastor of two churches in the Mississippi area (Columbia, Batesville). I am presently a teacher at Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile, AL.
I love to drink coffee and have deep conversations. I am always thinking about something and my wife calls my attempt at humor pitiful. Moreover, I enjoy learning new technology, going to the gym, watching movies, and reading.
What might people find surprising about you?
I have a blood phobia.
I love doing impressions of celebrities and people I know (my students ask me to do them all the time).
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
If you don’t have a plan, plan to fail. Also, my wife’s pastor in North Mississippi told me to constantly stay in prayer when it came to leadership and making decisions as a pastor.
What was your most embarrassing moment at church?
I was late to a sunrise service. My alarm did not go off in time.
